Correction on the video: it is not February, but March. Two Chinese Shun Da solar panels from 185 Watt each are (in parallel) connected to a charge circuit (24 Volt). Their max. current is 4,9 Amp each. Here you see the charge current on a sunny day with clouds. The differences in charge current are substantial when clouds cover the solar light. Filmed on 6 march 2011 in the Netherlands, in the morning, 10.45 hours. Information about how to make a small scale (off grid) solar energy system is in my book: "Small scale solar energy systems". It is published on the Lulu website: www.lulu.com/content/10542952. The systems can be made with 12 V and/or 24 Volt car batteries (open lead acid cells). With enough sunlight Approx. 240 Watt each hour can be harvested. Much more info and a preview is on the Lulu website. By the way: in may 2011 I measured that the panels generated 6 Ampere (even 6,2 Ampere, together a value between 12 and 12,5 Ampere) in bright clear sunlight, this is more than the datasheet says.
