VAWT Vertical Axis Wind Turbine mounted on my house on June 22, 2010. I have it mounted on a 16' post. Some of the parts come from windgenkits.com. I have it hooked to 2, 6 Volt golf cart batteries. Generates 12 volts in an 8 mph wind. Finally got some wind today. Included are some pictures of the construction process. I have 2 solar panels installed and am in the process of building 2 more. 3 watt, 12 volt polycrystalline solar panel I got off of ebay for around . It only puts out around 170 mah, but that will be boosted when it is wired with two other panels.
